Job Summary
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Manager oversees the supervision of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) RBT team. This role involves training, mentoring, and supervising a team of RBTs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and positive outcomes. The RBT Manager also contributes to program development, quality control, and maintaining a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Training: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to a team of RBTs, ensuring they are implementing treatment plans effectively and adhering to best practices in ABA therapy.
- Program Implementation: Oversee the implementation of therapeutic programs and behavior plans, ensuring they are person-centered and aligned with agency philosophy and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the progress of RBT's providing therapy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and positive outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate all members of the interdisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Staff Development: Provide training and professional development opportunities to RBTs, enhancing their skills and effectiveness.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with families, staff, and other stakeholders regarding client progress and program implementation.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification: A valid RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is typically required.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in implementing ABA therapy programs and working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and supervise a team of RBTs.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to program implementation and staff performance.
- Knowledge of ABA Principles: A strong understanding of ABA principles and their application in therapeutic settings.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, special education) may be preferred.
A Day in the Life
- Collaborate closely with RBT's , and multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistent application across all settings without disruption to the environment.
- Ensure proper implementation of behavior programs by training and retraining staff as needed, routinely communicating with team members to maintain fidelity of interventions.
- Engage team members and enhance their overall experience.
- Review updates including new programs or scheduled sessions, and prepare to implement these changes effectively.
- Site Visits. Will regularly visit sites across the state of NJ to continue to improve processes and communication.
- Monitor and evaluate progress identifying barriers to success and making data-driven recommendations.
- Oversee training and professional development with RBT's as well stay current with best practices in applied behavior analysis and enhance your team's clinical skills.
- Represent the Applied ABA Therapy program with professionalism in all interactions, maintaining appropriate dress, demeanor, and communication with families and colleagues.
We’d Love to Hear from You If
- You have experience working with children, preferably those with autism or intellectual disabilities.
- You are a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with Leadership experience.
- You are open to travel in the State of NJ for site visits.
- You have a valid New Jersey license and reliable transportation.
- You are skilled in using software, including some electronic medical record systems like Central Reach and Microsoft Office.
- You have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to establish trust and rapport quickly.
- You have previous experience mentoring and training a team.
- You have experience with documentation.
- You have great writing skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to quickly move short distances (up to 100 feet) to engage with clients.
